- Natural Science in the New World: the descriptive enterprise, 16th International Meeting, Montréal, Quebec, Canada, 2006. The programme included field trips and visits to institutions as well as a full programme of presentations on “Natural Science in a New World”, many of these being by graduate students.
- National Collection of Historic Taxidermy visit. Saturday 2 September, UK. Pat and Mary Morris entertained a small but select group, enabling them to see the diverse collection of both good and bad taxidermy collected by Pat Morris, the highlight being the “Death of Cock-Robin”, acquired from the sale of the Potter Museum collection and showing “all the fowls of the air a’sighing and a’ sobbing” and so large that it is resident in their guest bedroom, with curtains to avoid guests having nightmares! Those members attending also benefitted from refreshments provided by Mary.We are most grateful to Pat and Mary for their generosity in welcoming SHNH members.
- Naturalists, their Books and their Libraries. Dublin, Ireland, 2006
